Microsoft Paint
What is Paint.
Microsoft Paint is a very simple image editing and creation application. Microsoft Paint comes with Windows Operating Systems. It was first introduced in Windows 1.0. It is also known as Paintbrush and Windows Paint.
Microsoft Paints files using the BMP file extension. This format uses a range of colors and bits. Microsoft Paint can also open and save files as .GIF, .TIFF . PNG and .JPEG formats.
Microsoft Paint improved with every edition of the Windows Operating Systems and, in the Windows 7 and Windows 8, 10 Operating Systems, there were a more tools of additional features and functions compared to the first releases of the paint application.

Let’s Know about Paint File Menu Step by Step...…
File Menu
New: To create a new document.
- Step: Go to File menu and click on New.
Open: To open a saved document or other format image. For example .jpeg, .BMP and .PNG. You can also click on Recent pictures and open recent document or picture
- Step 1: Go to File menu and click on Open.
- Step 2: Choose your file path which you want to open.
Save: To save the current working document in your computer drive with name.
- Step 1: Go to File menu and click on Save.
- Step 2: Type your File name and select your document type after you will choose your separate drive location and click on Save button.
Save as : To save the current in your computer drive with different name, format and different location.
1. Print
- Step: Go to File menu and click on Print.
2. Page Setup
- Step: Go to File menu and click on Page Setup and set your paper size according to document print.
NOTES:
Size: You can set you page size according to printer or document.
Orientation: You can rotate you page in Landscape and Portrait.
Margins: You can set your page margins to how inch left your sheet border.
Centering: Set your drawing or picture in page center Horizontal or Vertical.
Scaling: You can Adjust your drawing in output page by percent.
Fit to: You can also fit drawing on one or many more pages.
3. Page Preview
- Step: Go to File menu and click on Page Preview. You can see your art on your page. Also you can using magnifier tool for zoom in or zoom out.
From scanner or camera: Import image or doc from scanner or camera.
Send in email: To send your current document or picture art by the email.
Set as desktop background: To set your art and imported picture after editing on your desktop screen.
Proterties: To check your created document properties or you can change document properties.
- Step: Go to File menu and click Properties. You can also change the document properties.
NOTES:Unit: You can set your document measurement unit.
Colors: You can set you picture or drawing in Color and Black and white.
Width: You can set your picture or drawing width.
Height: You can set your picture or drawing Height.
Default: You can set your by Default setting.
About Paint: To know your Paint version. Click on OK and exit.
Exit: Close your document and exit paint application.
